I made this card for a friend and thought the Bear was so cute I decided to make him in fimo as a gift to go with the card he's holding a bunch of flowers and a birthday card.
The image is a LOTV (lily of the Valley) Stamp called Teddy Bouquet (Code: ST024)
This was made for a colleague who was leaving to have a baby - we threw a
baby shower for her and this was the cake topper.
Working in a school has many perks - one being fish for lunch on Fridays (one
of her favourites), hence the fish fingers and chips clutched in her hand!
This was lots of fun to make as I love recreating food and had never done a
baby bump before.
I loved the idea of the “Exploding Box” Card so decided to
make some to hold my Fimo babies.
I made the boxes using
templates from the internet and some baby stamps I already had. I coloured the
images using Promarkers and added some ribbon and a few embellishments. I just love
the way they turned out.
I then just had to wait for some friends to have a baby so I could send them!
These Christmas themed fimo characters were originally made
as gifts for my Son, Nieces and Nephews.
The kids loved them so I decided to list them on Ebay to see how they
went and got lots of orders for them as photo holders, place settings as well
as ornaments.
I spent a long time creating my Christmas Nativity last Year, and ended up
making many more as the orders flooded in!
I was lucky enough to asked by a wonderful
artist, Janice McGloine (www.janicemcgloine.com)
to make a larger (I doubled the size) set to be featured in
her 2011 Christmas Display at her studio in Silverdale Lancashire . I think her artwork is
absolutely beautiful.
